Hello and welcome to fotomon.do
On fotomon.do you will find experiences, tips and inspiration about photography – from technique and image composition to creative projects and exciting adventures behind the lens.

Hi, I’m Jochen. I took my first steps (or rather pictures) with a camera as a small child. Back then, everything was still analog.
I had to shoot picture after picture with my thumb and, thanks to the flash cube, I also had to use the artificial exposure carefully.
I eagerly awaited the results of my own photography, which I only got to see when the developed film and its prints were ready.
Via various analog 35 mm cameras, my path eventually led me to (digital) SLR cameras.
For me, photography is more than just capturing moments – it is a way of seeing the world with new eyes, capturing emotions and making small details visible that are often overlooked.
I am particularly fascinated by the sheer endless creative design possibilities. Be it directly during shooting or in post-processing. Whether I’m patiently waiting to capture the perfect image, using long exposures to make the invisible visible or creating impressive time-lapse shots afterwards – there’s always something new to discover.
The idea and the need for this site came to me during a vacation in the Azores. There was a beautiful photo motif there that had been photographed somewhat carelessly.
I wanted to use this as an incentive to share my fascination for photography and discover it together. I use modern technology and artificial intelligence to help me create the images, texts and translations.
I hope you enjoy your visit to fotomon.do and that you find it useful.
